Description of ServiceProvides financial assistance to eligible low-income families who need child care to support their efforts toward self-sufficiency through the Low-Income Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP).

Intake ProcedureVisit the PEAK website to print an application. Call to make an appointment. Applicants will be put on a wait list and will be contacted at least every 6 months to determine their status and interest with remaining on the wait list.
Intake RequirementsMust provide:
- Birth certificates for all children
- Picture identification for every adult in the household
- Immunization records for all children
- 1 month of pay stubs for each parent, prior to the date of CCAP application
- 3 months of child support verification

Additional verification may be requested based on an individuals' application information.

If the individual has started a new job, a confirmation letter from the employer is required. The letter must include the hire date, rate of pay, how often paid and work schedule. Also, needed are pay stubs within 30 days from the CCAP application date.

If requesting child care while attending school, an enrollment verification letter will be required that includes start and end date, the program you enrolled in, the length of time it will take to complete the program, anticipated salary upon graduation, anticipated graduation date and daily schedule. Also need to provide a copy of all loans and grants.

If in school, CCAP can help with child care provided the individual can complete the program and earn a degree or professional license/vocational certificate within 2 years of the date of the CCAP application. Assistance for child care does not apply for anyone who is working on a Master's degree or above. If you are in High School or in training to earn a GED, you can receive assistance until you complete a high school/GED education or the individual reaches the age of 22.
