Description of Service
Protects adults who are at-risk and are unable to guard their own interests. The Adult Protective Services Program is designed to intervene in situations where there is danger of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of at-risk adults. If necessary, a plan will be developed to utilize support systems in the community to provide continuing safety for the at-risk adults in question. Anyone who is concerned about an at-risk adult and makes a report in good faith will be immune from any civil or criminal liability from making the report, giving court testimony, or participating in making the report.
