Description of Service
Provides access for shelter with a network of churches for single men, single women, and couples without children. Only available during severe weather (i.e., 32 degrees or below and wet/snowing or 20 degrees or below and dry). Guests are picked up at warming sites at 7 p.m. and transported to drop-off sites at 7 a.m. each morning. A hot evening meal and quick breakfast with coffee are provided.
Limited, call for specific information
Walk in to Room 180 at the Jefferson County Department of Human Services to be screened. Individuals will be screened for shelter placement.
Once registered, call the hotline each morning to find out if the shelter will be open that night (hotline number will be given at registration).
If the shelter is open, either call the shelter line or walk in to Jefferson County Human Services or another partner organization to be added to that night's roster. Roster is first come, first served.
Must pass a background check
Successful registration will allow individuals to access shelter the same day, if severe weather conditions are met. Registered individuals also have access to the warming center at the Lakewood Elks Lodge at 1455 Newland St., Lakewood, CO 80215, from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. on nights when severe weather conditions are met.

No pets allowed at the shelter.
Information to access shelter (e.g., hotline, host sites, warming site locations, etc.) given after registration complete.
Homeless single men, single women or couples without children who are 18 years or older. No violent offenses against persons in the last year. Individuals with physical disabilities that would prevent them from sleeping on the floor are not eligible and will be referred to other shelter options.
