Description of Service
Food assistance helps low-income individuals and families with the costs of purchasing food. This program is a supplement to a household's nutritional needs for the month.

Benefits are issued through the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) System by using the QUEST card, which is similar to a debit card. Food stamps may not be used to purchase any non-food item or hot foods that are ready-to-eat or any food marketed to be heated in the store.
Colorado PEAK provides a questionnaire that will give people answers about whether or not they may qualify for benefits for programs that provide food assistance, cash assistance, WIC supplemental nutrition benefits, and other types of assistance.
