Description of AgencyEl Comite provides a diverse range of bilingual/bi-cultural human services to the Longmont, Boulder County and surrounding communities. Direct services include:
- Case management
- Information and referral
- Consultation
- Immigrant information
- Diverse cultural programs
- Citizenship applications and classes
- ESL (English as a Second Language) classes
Advocacy and/or educational training programs are provided in areas relating to criminal justice, parental involvement in their students' education, employment, health, housing, and legal matters. Bridges the language gap by providing English/Spanish translation and interpretation. Also offers services through 'guest case workers' from agencies who are present at the office during regular hours each week:
- Longmont Senior Center
- City of Longmont Office of Community Relations
- Youth Services of the City of Longmont
- Visiting attorneys
