Works with partner churches to provide emergency shelter for homeless individuals. At these Host Churches, guests can enjoy a hot meal. Aside from supplying a safe, warm environment overnight, we also connect our guests with other resources as their needs become known.
Severe Weather Shelter Network partners with community organizations and agencies to provide overnight shelter on life threatening winter nights for individuals living on the streets.
Call to make an appointment to register in person for the season. Once registered, call the hotline each morning to find out if the shelter will be open that night. If the shelter is open, either call the shelter line or walk in to The Action Center or another partner organization to be added to that night's roster. Roster is first come, first served.
Must pass a background check.
Homeless single men, single women or couples without children who are 18 years or older. No violent offenses against persons in the last year. Individuals with physical disabilities that would prevent them from sleeping on the floor are not eligible and will be referred to other shelter options.
