Provides education, employment assistance, and family support for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Mission
To create, support, and encourage inclusive opportunities for Coloradans of all abilities and their families, through early intervention, education, employment, statewide training, information and referral, advocacy, public education services and collaborative strategies with emphasis on diversity, dignity, quality of life and the advancement of human potential.
History
Cerebral Palsy of Colorado was founded in 1946 by a group of nine mothers who believed there should be options (besides placement in an institution) for their children born with severe disabilities. These courageous women and their families chose to support and raise their children at home, forging a new path of inclusion and quality of life for people with disabilities.
