Description of Service
Offers a healthcare benefits program based on income. Colorado Medicaid pays for most health care services including, but not limited to:
- Physician services
- Family planning
- Transportation to medical services
- Mental health services.
A co-payment is paid for most services. The Medicaid Mileage program provides reimbursement for transporting Medicaid eligible recipients to and from medical services that are covered by the Medicaid program.
Undocumented immigrants who are pregnant are eligible for Medicaid to cover labor and delivery only. Undocumented immigrants who have a life or limb threatening emergency may apply for Medicaid within three months of the emergency. All US born children of undocumented immigrants are eligible for Medicaid assistance if the family meets all other eligibility criteria.
