Description of Service
Provides monthly cash assistance to families of at least one parent and one child. Families may receive assistance while preparing for, looking for, or maintaining employment.
Larimer County Works assists low-income families to move from temporary monthly cash assistance into the workplace. Anyone 18 years or older needs to be assessed for barriers to employment and to sign a contract commitment to be employed. The program goal is for participants to find work as soon as possible, but not later than 24 months. The family is limited to a lifetime limit of 60 months of benefits. Work experience, job training and job placement are provided in partnership with the Larimer County Workforce Center.
Undocumented immigrants are not eligible to receive TANF, but US born children of undocumented immigrants are eligible for TANF if the family meets all other eligibility criteria.

Anyone can access the Colorado Peak website for self-screening for potential eligibility for health, nutrition and cash benefits.
The MyCOBenefits app is available to individuals who receive SNAP, Colorado Works, and Adult Financial benefits and is available in both the Apple and Android app stores. The app allows users to access their benefit information, report changes, check EBT card balances and more.

Limited to families with dependent children or parents of an unborn child. Based on income, resources, and size of household. Must participate in work activity if approved.
