To empower students from under-served communities to graduate from college.
While advising high school seniors from East Palo Alto about college admission, the co-founders realized low-income and first-generation students faced the labyrinthine world of higher education with few resources to achieve the goal of earning a four-year college degree. Recognizing these students possessed unique passions and talents but lacked the access to cultivate them, they created College Track in 1997 with the mission to empower students from undeserved communities to graduate from college. Over the last 20+ years, College Track grew to a network of nine College Track centers that have empowered over 2,800 students (including more than 400 students in Colorado since the 2011 launch).
