General Information
Description of AgencyThe Alano Club is a non-profit corporation founded in 1976 to support individuals in the recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction. The club provides a meeting place for a variety of 12 step recovery groups and a location and environment for individuals with a common goal of a life free from alcohol or drugs. Currently there are 17 weekly meetings of various recovery groups held at the Alano Club. The Club is available for groups or individuals to meet and share the problems, concerns and solutions associated with alcohol and drug addiction. There is also information and one to one contact available to people seeking immediate assistance for active substance abuse problems. In addition, the Alano Club sponsors a variety of special events. The Club provides services to both members and the general public. Membership is open to any person in recovery, as well as family members, friends and others who themselves do not have substance abuse problems.
